kcal.quest is a local-first app. Your data, meaning your meals, photos, body entries and profile, is stored only in your browser on your device (IndexedDB). We have no server database and no account system, so we never receive or store your personal data.
Photos you analyze
When you scan a meal or a body photo, the image is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the analysis. The result comes back and is saved locally on your device. We do not keep those images on any server. Anthropic processes them under their own terms (Anthropic privacy policy).
No tracking
We use no advertising and no tracking cookies. The site collects anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Analytics): cookieless, no profiling, and no way to tie a visit to a person. Browser local storage is used only to keep your data and preferences (such as your language) on this device.
You are in control
You can delete all your data anytime in Settings. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app also removes everything for good. Because the data lives only on your device, it does not sync across devices.
